Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a profound journey of recognition, self-discovery, and healing. Through the conscious aspects of both CBT and it’s close cousin, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), our minds can be harnessed and re-routed to bring positive changes to our lives. I find both CBT and DBT to generally be the most effective therapeutic means to make meaningful changes to one’s life.

Through a series of structured exercises , you will learn to identify cognitive distortions, those sneaky tricks your mind plays on you, and replace them with more balanced and constructive perspectives.

Keep in mind that CBT/DBT techniques are not just about changing your thoughts; it's about transforming or evolving your behaviors. You will learn to cultivate coping strategies, leading to new habits, creating a new sturdy foundation for long-lasting change (the “evolving” part).  Thoughts are hard to change.  Behaviors are a choice, meaning a negative thought can transform into a positively changed behavioral action.
